WellBeing - Vascular at Risk

E.ON U.S. Introduces WellBeing - Vascular at Risk Program

E.ON U.S. is partnering with Anthem to launch the WellBeing - Vascular at Risk program to help employees, retirees and spouses make necessary lifestyle changes to improve their heart health.

Unlike chronic diseases, individuals diagnosed with hypertension, high cholesterol and obesity have an opportunity to make aggressive lifestyle changes today that can delay or prevent the development of other serious diseases. While this news is positive, committing to change is difficult to do. But there is help!

If you have elevated blood pressure (140/90 and higher) and elevated LDL "bad" cholesterol (130 mg/dL or greater), the WellBeing – Vascular at Risk program is for you.

How it Works
Based on positive answers on your Health Risk Assessment, Anthem's registered nurse team of clinical experts will contact you to provide health education and counseling regarding dietary choices, exercise, medication compliance and risk factors. The program can even provide techniques for better provider-physician communication.

All identified members will receive a condition-specific welcome kit. Participants also have access to an RN 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year to answer any and all questions you may have in regard to your health condition or health concerns.

E.ON U.S. employees, retirees and their spouses can complete a Health Risk Assessment after attending a 2007 WellFair. Active employees who do so are eligible to receive $100, along with the chance to win one of three $1,000 awards. This offer is part of the company's 2007 ChooseWell incentive, to further support the health and wellbeing of employees.

Benefits of WellBeing
With proper coaching, health education and resources, the WellBeing - Vascular at Risk program will work to improve your blood pressure and cholesterol levels by empowering you to become a better manager of your personal health.
