To build on the success of this company's ChooseWell Matching Grant Program, and to assist managers in meeting their safety/wellness objective for 2010, managers and their work groups will now be eligible for the new Team Choice Award.

The TCA is an additional award for managers who receive a 2010 ChooseWell Matching Grant and have at least 75 percent of their employees attend a 2010 WellFair (or release to KC Wellness their biometric information from a comprehensive medical exam with their personal physician). Like the matching grant, the amount of the TCA will be based upon the number of employees the manager has reporting to him/her.

The TCA is 50 percent of the eligible ChooseWell Matching Grant dollars allotted to your department. For example, if you manage 80 employees, you are eligible for $1,000 in matching grant funds. Your TCA would then be $500. If you have 10 employees who report to you, you would be eligible for $250 in matching grant funds, and an additional $125 from the TCA.

Grant applications must be submitted by May 31 by a manager or above. Applications will be reviewed by the ChooseWell Matching Grant Committee for approval. The review committee is made up of employees from Energy Delivery, Energy Services and Corporate, who will evaluate submitted programs and serve as advocates of the ChooseWell program.
