Brad Rives was named to his current position in 2003. He has more than 20 years of experience in the electric and natural gas utility industry.
Rives started his career as a member of Arthur Andersen and Company's audit staff. Rives began his service at Louisville Gas and Electric Company in 1983, when he joined the company as Assistant Manager, Tax Accounting. Since that time, he has held a variety of positions at E.ON U.S., including Assistant Treasurer; Associate General Counsel; Senior Vice President, Finance and Business Development; and Senior Vice President, Finance and Controller before being promoted to his present position.
Rives has a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Kentucky, and a Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Louisville School of Law. He has also completed the Executive Program on Leading Corporate Transformation and the Senior Executive Program on Leading Change and Organizational Renewal at the E.ON Academy at Harvard University.
His professional/trade memberships include the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Financial Executives Institute, Kentucky Bar Association, Kentucky Society of Certified Public Accountants and Louisville Bar Association. He serves on the Board of Advisors for the University of Louisville School of Business, Metro United Way Board of Directors, the Executive Board and Treasurer of the Lincoln Heritage Council Boy Scouts of America, FM Global Advisory Board, and is Chair of the National Kidney Foundation of Kentucky Golf Classic. He is also a member of the Board of Directors and Audit Committee Chair of Saint Xavier High School and Chair of the Saint Margaret Mary Parish Council.
