Business Customers Say LG&E Energy Offers Nation's Best Customer Service



(LOUISVILLE, KY – March 19, 2003) -- LG&E Energy Corp., through its Kentucky Utilities and Louisville Gas and Electric Company subsidiaries, offers the best service to midsize business customers in the United States, according to the latest utility industry survey from J.D. Power and Associates.

The midsize business customers ranked power quality and reliability, overall company image, and price and value as the most important factors in determining their satisfaction with their electric provider. LG&E Energy ranked first in the Midwest and first overall, scoring highest in all of the categories.

The survey is based on 6,937 telephone interviews with midsize business customers conducted from Oct. 8, 2002 through Jan. 9, 2003.

This marks the fourth time LG&E Energy and its subsidiaries have been ranked among the nation's and region's best by midsize business customers. Additionally, LG&E Energy has been among the nation's leaders in J.D. Power's surveys of residential customers for each of the last three years.
