Investing in Our Future

E.ON U.S. and its subsidiaries, LG&E and KU, are proud to be recognized as leading corporate citizens. We've built our reputation on providing safe, reliable energy with award-winning customer service.

Our employees and retirees are the keys to our success as they support our efforts to enhance economic growth and the quality of life throughout the communities we serve. We are experiencing a time of unprecedented growth and construction activity at E.ON U.S. as we strive to meet our customers' ever-increasing demand for energy and preserve the environment for future generations.

This video, "Investing in Our Future," is an overview of more than a dozen major construction projects currently under way at E.ON U.S. The video demonstrates our employees' unwavering commitment to the concept of "Customers first. Energy that lasts."

Give the gift of life

E.ON U.S. is a proud supporter of the American Red Cross. According to the organization, an estimated five million Americans receive transfusions (including red blood cells, platelets and plasma) annually. In fact, about every 2 seconds, someone in the United States needs blood. To help ensure a sufficient blood supply, the Red Cross is holding its 31st annual Louisville Holiday Donorama on Dec. 29 and Dec. 30, from noon to 7 p.m. each day.

The blood drive will take place at Crowne Plaza (formerly Executive West) at 830 Phillips Lane, 40209. Blood recipients will be in attendance to thank participants, and a hot meal will be served to all presenting donors. Entertainment will be provided by local bands, and all presenting donors automatically will be entered into drawings for door prizes, including gift certificates for Thorntons and Tony BoomBozz pizza.

By offering you a way to support the operation and development of renewable energy, we are giving you the chance to do your part to help improve the environment. Make the choice to make a difference — for today and tomorrow. The power is in your hands.

Demand Conservation today!

Electric meter closeupYou can help the environment and save energy, too.

Sign up for our Demand Conservation program today. You can reduce energy demand by signing up for a free device that we connect to your central air conditioner, heat pump or electric water heater.

Demand Conservation helps reduce peak demand, which enables us to use our power plants more efficiently and delay the addition of new ones.

As a bonus, we'll credit your utility bill $5 per month (up to $20 annually) for each of the four summer months (June through September) for each central air conditioning unit.

Additional bonuses apply for water heaters. These programs are available only in areas where our radio signal is accessible.

Identifying Our Employees

Opening doorIf someone appears at your door stating that they are there on our behalf, don't hesitate to ask to see the person's company-issued employee or contractor identification card. An authentic identification card shows our company logo, the employee's name and color photograph on the front. If you like, ask the person to present a second form of identification, such as a driver's license.

If you have any questions about the person's identity or reason for needing to enter your home, ask him or her to wait outside while you call us. We can verify that the person is working on our behalf and that they have a legitimate reason for needing to come inside your home. You should always call us for verification if you did not ask to have a representative visit you.

Our employees won't mind waiting while you make the call. Safety is a priority for us, and our employees want you to be safe.
