ODP Exempt from Deregulation of Virginia Energy Market
A recent decision from the Governor's office means ODP customers will be able to avoid many of the costs associated with deregulating Virginia's electricity industry.
In March of 2003, House Bill 2367, effective July 1, 2003, exempted Kentucky Utilities/Old Dominion Power from Virginia Electric Utility Restructuring. This means ODP will continue to provide our customers with electric rates among the lowest in the nation. Eliminating the costs of deregulation will save ODP customers nearly $3 million.
