A stocking filled with Home Utility Gifts
Warm a loved one with a HUG. It's like putting money in their stocking.
This holiday season, give the gift everyone can appreciate this time of year — a home utility gift (HUG) certificate.

A HUG is a gift certificate that credits the utility account of any LG&E, KU or ODP customer. Unlike traditional gift certificates, which can be lost or stolen or lose their value over time a HUG is a credit placed directly on a customer's account. The credit is automatically subtracted from the customer's next bill. The purchaser receives a gift certificate to present to the recipient indicating the amount of the purchase.

Storm Update

A winter storm in southeast Kentucky and western Virginia has caused power outages.

As of Monday at 8:00 p.m., KU had 4,600 customers without service and was estimating it would have most of the customers in Kentucky restored by Wednesday night. ODP had 12,100 customers without service and was expected to have the majority of customers restored by late Wednesday with some customers in remote and difficult areas extending into Thursday.

Crews are working to restore power as quickly and safely as possible.

Consider any downed power line to be dangerous, because they may be energized. Stay away from all downed lines and keep others away, too.
