When complete in 2010, TC2 will be one of the nation's most efficient coal plants, with more than $300 million to be spent on emission controls. It also is one of only four plants in the United States to apply for a tax credit under the 2005 EPAct Qualifying Advanced Coal Program for high efficiency and low emission generating units.
