Our supplier diversity policy at E.ON U.S. is to develop significant partnering relationships with minority- and women-business enterprises (M/WBE) to maximize opportunities for them to participate with us as suppliers, contractors and subcontractors of goods and services. Our policy also ensures strict compliance with all regulatory agency requirements as well as with federal, state and local procurement regulations and programs.
All employees with significant spending authority are expected to consider minority- and women-business enterprises as direct suppliers and to encourage E.ON U.S.'s primary suppliers to do the same.
While E.ON U.S.'s executive management assumes accountability for the company's Supplier Diversity Program, our Supplier Diversity Department administers the program. The Supplier Diversity Department's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Designing and implementing a world-class supplier diversity program to meet E.ON U.S.'s existing and future needs;
- Identifying company-wide contracting and purchasing opportunities in which we ensure that M/WBEs have the opportunity to bid competitively;
- Identifying M/WBEs to bid on opportunities throughout the company; and
- Participating in minority business development organizations and activities to promote E.ON U.S.'s commitment to supplier diversity.
