Our Community

kidsE.ON U.S. has a steadfast and unwavering commitment to the communities it serves. This commitment began nearly two centuries ago when our predecessor company lit the sprawling little town of Louisville with one of the nation's first natural gas street lights. Today, that commitment has grown to touch hundreds of communities in every corner of Kentucky in countless different ways.

Through E.ON U.S.'s subsidiaries — Louisville Gas and Electric Company, Kentucky Utilities Company and Western Kentucky Energy — we contribute resources, talent and ideas that support community heritage and economic growth. The E.ON U.S. Foundation provides critical funding for educational, socioeconomic and cultural experiences and development.

And then there are our people — more than 3,500 employees who live and play in the same communities where they work. They give freely of their time and talents, volunteering from boardrooms and schools to Little League fields and soup kitchens to make their communities better places to live.

At E.ON U.S., we have a passionate belief that we can make a difference in the world around us. Our commitment to our communities is enduring.
