Dear Customers,
For those of you who are familiar with the LG&E Energy website you will notice some changes.
After more than three successful years as part of E.ON AG, I'm proud to announce that LG&E Energy — the parent company of Louisville Gas and Electric Company, Kentucky Utilities Company and Western Kentucky Energy — has changed its name to E.ON U.S.
This change will only affect the name of our parent company. LG&E, KU, and WKE will continue to operate under the familiar names you know so well. Our employees and leadership team remain the same, as does our award-winning, reliable service and our steadfast commitment to the environment and the communities we serve.
The reputation of LG&E Energy and its subsidiaries has been built on meeting the needs of our customers and investing in our communities. We're fortunate to be a part of the E.ON family of companies which values those same ideals and has an eye on the future.
E.ON brought strength to this relationship, while supporting and trusting our local leadership in the decisions that affect you, our customers, as well as our civic, charitable and environmental contributions. During the past three years, E.ON confirmed its commitment to Kentucky by supporting LG&E Energy's civic and charitable donations of more than $10 million and by earmarking more than $2.3 billion for cleaner, more abundant energy. Last spring, E.ON further confirmed its confidence in LG&E Energy and the U.S. market when it announced plans to maintain and grow our company.
While this is a simple name change, it is significant. It allows LG&E, KU, and WKE to maintain their relationship with you, while confirming E.ON's commitment to Kentucky.
So, when you see our headquarters renamed the E.ON U.S. Center, or donations from the new E.ON U.S. Foundation as well as this newly redesigned website, remember these changes are part of our continued commitment to you.
Sincerely,

Victor A. Staffieri
Chairman, CEO and President,
E.ON U.S.
